The upcoming SHADO Mobile kit from Round2/MPC was on display at the 2026 IPMS/USA National Convention in Fort Wayne, Indiana. There will now be an exclusive edition if purchased through Auto World that will include two Moonbase operative figures (!). Here is a clip on YouTube showing that.

Master Replicas has announced a SHADO Control Mobile die-cast with diorama base expected by the end of 2026, with a price tag of $75 in the US / £75 in the UK! This will be the same size as the previous Product Enterprise / Sixteen12 SHADO Mobile (17 cm, 6.75" length).  US site link | UK site link

In the UK, the free-to-air "Rewind TV" Channel will begin showing UFO on August 21st at 12:00pm and 7:30pm!

The good news - there is an upcoming Blu-ray release of UFO in Germany! The bad news - they have somehow managed to squeeze 26 episodes into only 3 Blu-ray discs. Meaning the quality will most certainly be worse than any previous UFO Blu-ray release (e.g. the standard Australian UFO Blu-ray release contains 7 discs).

Alan Shubrook has a few copies left of his UFO special effects booklet made for the UFOria 3 Part 2 convention, and is right now selling them on eBay!

Sad news... it has been reported that Canadian UFO superfan Doug Pelton has passed away. Doug was active in UFO fandom (and Anderson series in general) for many decades, and a frequent contributor to the American SHADO-USECC fan club newsletter, Fanderson newsletters and magazines. Also quite a number of the publicity photos on the UFO Series Home Page were courtesy of Doug (loaned to me then scanned).

Actor Burnell Tucker, who had minor parts in 3 episodes of UFO (THE SOUND OF SILENCE, SUB-SMASH, ORDEAL), passed away earlier this year at the age of 91. He also had minor parts in a variety of well-known films (e.g. STAR WARS, 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, SUPERMAN, etc.). Here is his "in memory of" page, and also his filmography on IMDB.

In the USA, the streaming channel FILMRISE BRITISH TV recently added UFO. On my Roku, I would say that this looks worse than the other streaming options (FreeVee, Tubi, Roku Channel), as a lot of detail and film grain have been scrubbed away and there are lots of compression artifacts. Plus there is something odd about the motion (skipped frames?) that I don't see on the other services.

Also the photos used for the episode guide look wrong because they've been run through some sort of AI.

Cozmic Scale Models is currently working on an upcoming 1/48th scale UFO Lunar Module model kit! They previously have released model kits of the UFO Interceptor in two scales.

It was announced today on the Fanderson Facebook page that actor Gary Raymond (Col. Grey in the UFO episode THE MAN WHO CAME BACK) will be a guest at the upcoming "Project Johnson" UFO location tour/convention in the UK!

UFO is now streaming on the American streaming service Tubi!  (and no longer available on the Roku Channel)

Here's a strange one... the "UFO" TV series is mentioned in the Epstein files! (As at one point in time there were plans to remake the TV series into a movie). See for example this document!

UFO is now again available for HD streaming on The Roku Channel!  These are based on the (very old) ITV HD masters... not quite as good as the Imprint Blu-rays, but (in my opinion) better than the Network Blu-rays.

The new "standard edition" version of the Imprint Television UFO Blu-ray is now available!  Here is a photo of it next to the previous "limited edition" version.

"UFOria 3 part 2" will be in May 2026 with Ayshea Brough as the guest. Also known as "Project Johnson", as her character was Lt Ayshea Johnson.  More information on this page!

Today is the 55th anniversary of the first UK broadcast of UFO! (although I'm told that it aired in Canada two days prior)

Some sad news - actor Stanley McGeagh, who played a SHADO security guard in the UFO episodes "E.S.P." and "Mindbender" has passed away, at age 85.

There is an upcoming UFO 55th Anniversary Celebration and Location Tour at the end of October near London called "Project Ford", with in-person special guest Keith Alexander!
